White Stripes 2005 North American Tour Poster Set
White Stripes 2005 North American Tour Poster Set

Greetings and Salutations,

Today I'm offering 50 sets of The White Stripes 2005 North American Tour posters sets up for sale.

Each set comprised of 11 posters (Pomona, 2 for Berkeley, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, Boston, and 3 for Detroit) has the same number on each poster. For fun, I will also include some random small extras with each set. Maybe a few, maybe a bunch at my discretion. What are they? Maybe a set of Boston handbills, or a small silkscreened version of the Krampus shirt design sold on tour, or a red test print of the Euro tour poster, or maybe all of them or something else entirely different.

These posters are all silkscreened on a thick paper stock similar to that used on the last set of Stripes posters I made. Each is a two color silkscreen except for Minneapolis and New York which used 3 screens (in both instances to produce a partially translucent heart) and the third Detroit poster which uses 5 screens (red black, and 3 different layers of a translucent white).

My web guy, Grant, set up the buttons so that shipping is included in the price depending on where you are ordering from. The posters will be shipped in two tubes (the same large 4 inch diameter tubes I normally use) in order to keep paper curl to a minimum as I don't like the idea of trying to cram 11 thick paper posters into one tube no matter how large it is. Because I'm shipping them in two tubes, the postage will be more, but I'm assuming you the customer appreciate the caution employed. Sorry I can't ship these mostly flat like last time, but the larger size of most of these really prevent it.

Please email if you'd like to have your shipment insured.

If you wish to purchase a set, but don't have a credit card or a paypal account, please email me to discuss other options like check or money order.

Also if you wish to buy a set, but only have half the funds available, please email me. If sets are still available, then I will work something out with you so you can pay the other half later.

If I went by the emails I've received so far, then these would all be sold thrice over to those expressing interest. So in the interest of attempted equity, I'm asking for now to limit the purchasing of sets to ONE PER CUSTOMER.

Sadly shipping may not be immediate as I have a few projects that need attention at the moment. Careful packing of poster sets consumes more time than I have at the moment. So please be patient in awaiting your order's arrival to your doorstep. I will post on the front page when the tubes are packed and when they ship out the door. Remember I pack all the posters myself as I am still too much of a neurotic freak to trust anybody else to do it.

As far as inquiries into individual posters, I want to see how the sets sell first. If these sell terribly over the next couple of months, then I will most likely break up sets and offer individual posters on my site.

Finally, I'd like to express thanks to Jack and Meg for letting me make posters for another tour. I tried really hard to improve on my previous efforts, and I hope on some level I was successful. I also want to thank Amber and John for their help, and I'm especially obliged to all those who helped me with the Detroit posters by providing me with antique postcards. On this front, I am especially indebted to Ben Blackwell who really went over the top in providing me with postcard images of Detroit during it's heyday including his beautiful copy of the Hotel Yorba card.

That's about it.

Cheers
RJ
